Liz Watson is one of 13 athletes selected by Netball Australia in the Samsung Australian Diamonds Squad which will face the New Zealand Silver Ferns in the upcoming Constellation Cup test series this October.
Liz is one of nine Diamonds team members who represented Australia at the 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup. An additional for members have been added to the squad including returning Diamonds Tegan Philip and Ash Brazill who are joined by newcomers Laura Scherian and Maddy Turner.
An ACL injury to Kelsey Browne has ruled her out for an extended period in addition to April Brandley recently announcing her pregnancy. Another position was also made available with shooter Steph Wood resting for the upcoming for the upcoming Constellation Cup tour.
The full 18-person 2019/20 Samsung Diamonds squad also includes Kiera Austin, Emily Mannix, Kate Moloney, Gabi Simpson and Steph Wood. The players will leave their home states for New Zealand on Tuesday 8 October.
